The dedication and professionalism of LSA’s staff are a central reason for the agency’s success. LSA currently employs 59 full-time and 11 part-time staff. The passion and long-term commitment of our personnel is often exceptional: some LSA staff have served for over 20 years. LSA also provides on-the-job training to 5-7 graduate student interns annually.

With its decades of experience in providing integrated, multi-service assistance to East Harlem families facing difficult, complex problems, LSA is highly regarded as a model program in the fight against poverty. Known for their willingness to work with families for as long as needed, and their ability to find creative, flexible solutions to tough situations, LSA staff are often asked to make presentations about the agency’s comprehensive approach to serving at-risk families.
